ENTRY FEES:  All fees must be prepaid in full, by check or money order made payable to NEBRASKA CHARITY HORSE SHOW, INC. and accompany the Entry Form and copies of applicable Health and ownership papers.  No post dated or open checks will be accepted for pre-entries.  Entries will not be processed without payment of fees.  A non-refundable $30.00, per horse, office charge will be accessed.  No numbers will be released unless all paper work is in order.

OPEN CHECKS:  During the show, an open check must be left in the office for additional entry fees & charges made during the Show.  No packets will be given unless an open check is provided.  See below for “Returned Check” policy.   

POST ENTRY FEES:  A Post Entry fee of $35.00 per horse will be charged after the Closing Date. Entries received by the Closing Date deadline will not be charged a post-entry fee if entered for additional classes.

REFUNDS:  All scratches must be in writing.  Before the closing date:  Horses scratched before the closing date will receive a full refund of all entry and stall fees.  After the closing date:  All entry fees will be refunded for any  total scratch which is received at least 48 hours prior to first class.  Total scratches received less than 48 hours in advance must be counter-signed by the Horse Show Veterinarian to qualify for any refund.  STALL FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.  All refunds will be issued following the completion of the Show.


CHANGES AND SCRATCHES:  All changes and scratches must be completed One (1) hour before the session.  Riders may be transferred or substituted if the Show Office is notified at least one (1) hour prior to the session.  Horses may not be substituted.  Credit will be given toward replacement class.  

RETURNED CHECK POLICY:  A penalty of $50.00 will be charged for all returned checks.  Cash or certified funds must replace Returned Checks.  No one will be allowed to show if they have a check or handling fee outstanding.


PRIZE MONEY:  All prize money will be paid through Horse Show Management.  All prize monies in excess of the balance due will be mailed to the owner of record, unless otherwise directed within 30 days after the completion of the Show.  Every owner and/or trainer must furnish his/her social security number or Federal I.D. number.


OFFICE HOURS:  To Be Posted at Show Office. All accounts must be settled by 10:00 p.m. June 3, 2017.


STALLS:  STALLS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER NOON, TUESDAY, MAY 30, 2017.  Stalls are of a portable type, with doors.  Exhibitors will be responsible for damage to the stalls.  Stall fee is $115.00.  Tack stall fee is $115.00.  Assigned on a first come, first serve basis.  Stall fees are not refundable after the closing date.  Each horse entered is required to have a stall.  Tack stalls are additional.  There will be an extra charge of $35.00 to any barn, trainer, or exhibitor for any stall that is altered or removed and not returned to its original state before leaving the grounds.  Stalls must be vacated by Noon on Sunday, June 4, 2017.  A Stall Chart will be posted on the wall next to the Horse Show Office. 


RING DIMENSIONS - MAKE UP - EXERCISING SCHEDULE -  An Exercising Schedule for the Main Ring will be posted in the Show Office.  Show Ring size is 100” x 225’.  Warm up arena size is 100’ x 150’.  Footing is clay/sand/mulch mix.

 HEALTH REQUIREMENTS:  All horse coming from outside the State of Nebraska must have a current negative Coggins Test dated within one (1) year of the show dates.   A current Health Certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian within 30 days of exhibition must accompany ALL HORSES.  To speed up processing, please send a copy with your entries.


CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS:  Management reserves the right to combine, cancel or split any class.  Management reserves the right to change or alter the officials listed without advance notice to or during the show.

RING PROCEDURE:  In classes which show collectively, two (2) minutes will be allowed after the first horse enters the ring.  At the end of two minutes, the gate will be closed and the class will proceed.


STAKE / CHAMPIONSHIPS:  To be eligible for stake / championship classes, horses must have been entered, shown and judged in at least one appropriate qualifying class in their respective division.

AMERICAN SADDLEBRED MEMBERSHIP:  All Owners and Trainers at ASHA recognized competitions must be current members in good standing with the American Saddlebred Horse Association, Inc. in order to have points count. Please put your membership numbers on the entry blank and enclose a copy of your card with your entries.


UPHA MEMBERSHIP:  All Riders and Trainers that show in any of our UPHA classes must be members, in good standing, of the United Professional Horseman’s Association, at the time of the horse show.  Please put your membership numbers on the entry blank and enclose a copy of your card with your entries.

AHHS YOUTH MEDALLION CLASSES:  All youth medallion competitors and trainers must be American Hackney Horse Society (AHHS) members in order to compete in any class in the medallion program.  Please put your membership numbers on the entry blank and enclose a copy of your card with entries.


MOTORIZED VEHICLES:  Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be allowed to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds.  Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent (s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense.  Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from the rule.

ELECTRIAL:  All extension cords must be Underwriters Laboratory approved for outdoor use.  Heavy extension cords are recommended.  The Show Management will inspect use of electrical appliances and extension cords.  These rules are for the protection of the exhibitor, his livestock, fellow exhibitors and the public.

TRUCKS, TRAILOR PARKING & CAMPERS:  Camper sites are available.  Please contact the Horse Show Office for further information.  Truck, trailer and van parking is available in a designated area.

DOGS:  Dogs will not be permitted on the premises unless restrained on a leash.  Stable dogs must be confined at all times.  Any owner of any dog found loose in the Show Ring during a competition will be fined $100.00 and be responsible for the entry fee(s) of the horse(s) whose performance(s) may be disturbed.

 CLASS ENTRY FEES AND PREMIUM DISTRIBUTION: Class entry fees are $30, except for stake classes below.  Academy class entry fees are $15.  Nebraska Charity Horse Show (NCHS) 3 Year Old Sweepstakes entry fee:  Pre-entry $100 Entry at show $150.  Premium paid for this class are 50% for 1st, 20% for 2nd, 10% for 3rd, 10% for 4th, 10% for 5th, ribbons for 6th.
